A gathering hymn for Advent, highlighting themes of longing, waiting and hope through words from the Advent gospel readings.
The song was originally written for the hymn tune Kingsfold (“I heard the voice of Jesus say”), or towards the end of Advent it can be sung to Forest Green (“O little town of Bethlehem”), but it will fit most tunes with DCM metre.
